This summer, the Reid House proudly hosted the Renford family reunion—commemorating 30 years of “strength by family, bonded by love.” Guests journeyed from San Diego, Killeen, Atlanta, Macon, and across Georgia to reconnect, reflect, and celebrate their shared heritage right here on the Suncoast.

Their weekend was filled with joy and tradition: a Friday night fish fry, a scenic bayfront picnic, a formal banquet, and a powerful visit to the Reid House for an immersive Black history experience. We were honored to welcome the Renford family as they explored Newtown’s rich past through the stories and spaces that continue to shape our community.

Whether you’re planning a reunion, milestone celebration, or cultural gathering, the Reid House offers a warm, meaningful setting where history and hospitality meet. Let your story unfold here—where every event becomes part of a larger legacy.
